James J. Hammond, Founder and CEO

I Studied Civil Engineering at University of Central Florida School of Engineering with a 3.82 grade point average, and a minor in Business Administration.

In 1998, I left my final year of college to open Consumer Credit Services, Inc with a focus on originating mortgage loan. 1998 to 2007, we grew from a small mortgage brokerage to a company with over 55 employees. In 2003, we changed our mortgage banking licenses from mortgage broker, to licensed correspondent mortgage lender. 

Consumer Credit Services, Inc was a fully accredited by the Veterans Administration, and the Federal Housing Administration. Through 2003-2008, Consumer Credit Services was in the top 5% of mortgage lenders in Florida.

In late 2008, Consumer Credit Services focused its efforts on helping homeowners by preventing foreclosures, through a foreclosure modification program. From 2008 to 2011, Consumer Credit Services, saved approximately 200 homes a month from foreclosure. 

In 2013, at the near completion of developing an automated mortgage point of sale online loan comparison application, we re-opened under Consumer Credit Services, LLC, and operate under the Doing Business As, EquiFund Mortgage.

EquiFund Mortgage core focus is to provide consumers with below market interest rate mortgages with lower closing costs, by using automation to reduce the cost of lending. 

I operate with an elevated focus on maximizing our consumer's financial gain, by using comparative analysis to determine the cost benefit differential between various loan programs, and mortgage lenders.

In addition to daily operations, I am currently working on an end-to-end mortgage point of sale software solution that simplifies the loan shopping experience for the consumer and reduces the cost by leveraging automation.

In my personal life, I believe in work hard and play just a bit harder. To take a break away from my passion of this business, you will most likely find my greatest accomplishment, my daughter, and myself on the water near the water or in the water. We love the Florida life, and are always looking for ways to get outside and appreciate where we are blessed to live.
